Pump 2 to 3 pumps (20 to 30ml) of Solano’s Chai syrup into a cup, then pour about 250ml of steamed milk over it and stir. Dust the top with cinnamon. That is a hot chai latte in under two minutes, with no tea bag or powder.

How to make a hot chai latte
- Pump 2 to 3 pumps (20 to 30ml) of Chai syrup into a 12oz cup.
- Steam 250ml of milk until it is hot to hold, about 60°C.
- Pour the milk over the syrup and stir.
- Dust the top with cinnamon.
Syrup or powder
Solano’s also makes an Aromatic Spiced Chai powder. The syrup is the faster option and gives the same result every time. The powder is a mix you stir in, so it suits people who want to make it a different way.
If it tastes too sweet
Chai syrup is a flavoured sugar syrup, so too much turns the drink sweet before it turns spicy. Drop back to 2 pumps and add a pinch of cinnamon on top for more spice without more sugar.
